The Bombay Stock Exchange is the oldest stock exchange in India. It dates back to 1855, when four Gujarati and one Parsi stockbroker met in front of the Mumbai Town Hall. As the number of brokers increased, the group moved to Dalal Street. They eventually became the Native Share & Stock Brokers Association.

    Dalal Street

Dalal Street is one of the most famous and recognizable locations of the Bombay Stock Exchange. The Exchange was established in 1875 and is the birthplace of Mumbai’s stock market. It started off as a group of five brokers meeting under a banyan tree in front of the Town Hall. Over time, the group grew and moved to different locations. In 1928, it was moved to its current location on Dalal Street, a street that is now called Broker Street.

    Dalal Street (Brokers’ Street)

The Bombay Stock Exchange is located in Dalal Street, Downtown Mumbai, India. Historically, brokers in Mumbai conducted their transactions under a banyan tree in front of the town hall. In the 1850s, Dalal Street was selected as the official location for the Native Share and Stock Brokers Association, which would later become BSE India.

    Dalal Street (Mumbai)

The Bombay Stock Exchange is located at Dalal Street in downtown Mumbai, India. This location has become synonymous with the Indian financial industry and markets. It was first established in 1875 when five brokers met under a banyan tree outside the city’s town hall to conduct business. They registered as an official organization in 1874, and continued operations from this location until 1928, when they acquired the Dalal Street building. The building was completed in 1930.

    Dalal Street (Singapore)

The Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) is the oldest stock exchange in Asia. Founded in 1868, it was first recognized by the Indian government under the Securities Contracts Regulation Act. Construction of the present building began in the late 1970s and was completed in 1980. It was originally called the BSE Towers, but was renamed in honor of the late Sir Phiroze Jamshedji Jeejeebhoy, who was chairman of the BSE from 1966 to 1982.

    Sensex

The Sensex is a benchmark index of the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE). It tracks the performance of the top 30 companies on the BSE. It is the basis for the Indian stock market and determines if the overall market will rise or fall.

    Online trading system

The Bombay stock exchange is an electronic marketplace for buying and selling shares. Listed companies are subject to a wide range of regulatory and compliance measures to ensure that they do not deceive investors and endanger their investment portfolios. The price of securities traded on the BSE is determined by the market’s demand and supply. This determines the market capitalisation of the company and also the ease with which it can raise funds. Listed companies on the BSE have to disclose their revenue generation, reinvestment patterns, book-to-closure facility, and other information required to provide transparency and ensure investor protection.

    Index options trading system

The Bombay stock exchange is one of the world’s leading exchanges for Index options trading. The exchange is home to more than 5500 listed companies and has a total market capitalization of USD 1.64 trillion, according to World Federation of Exchanges data.
